Notices and updates
Kia Ora ,
We have now officially passed two weeks in lockdown. I would like to thank you all for your continued patience, support and calm responses at such a challenging and trying time.
Broadway Health is the registered care provider for over 15,300 family members in the Mid to Far North and I would like to say that we are very proud of you all. Your personal sacrifices and your adherence to lockdown rules has really made a difference for my team.
Our mission statement “E manaaki ana I to tatou hapori” “Caring For our Community” reflects the values of every team member providing care in each of our amazing communities. We have a dedicated work force with over fifty-six staff members committed to you all. Flu vaccines, immunisations, repeat scripts and any other care you require can be provided now so please don’t despair, contact us.
Kaitaia clinic is currently open with a skeleton staff set up so you have a Doctor, Nurse and Medical Receptionist on-site in clinic each day.
Waipapa clinic also has a skeleton staff made up of a Doctor, Nurse and Medical Receptionist on-site in clinic each day.
Kaikohe is our hub and supports our largest community. We are onsite during the week and have face to face opportunities for all patients who require care and support.
My priority at this time is to keep you all safe so unnecessary travel to see your Doctors or Nurses will not be encouraged. However, we have been here and will be here our normal working days, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, closed on public holidays, please just phone. For those of you who cannot phone at this time we have a designated messenger “facebook” page that is monitored regularly Broadwayhealth Covid is the messenger name you can post there to request a call back or contact your clinic. However, for urgent issues please phone.
Our team has been working nonstop since lockdown to be available within the lockdown rules and parameters. I know many of you will personally know a member of my team or have developed close relationships with those who provide care in your communities. At this time I want to reassure you that regardless of the misinformation and confusion being generated in social media, I trust my team and I know you all do so let’s just stick together support each other and encourage everyone to be kind and patient.
Each and every team member of Broadway Health has volunteered to do exactly what has been asked of them, Including sacrificing their time with their families to allow others having to take leave from work to protect their whanau. A truly humbling experience for any one in my position to witness such dedication to all of you and to each other. Please be proud of your teams and each other.
I must also once again ask you all to ring whenever you want help or need support over this trying time and keep our communities safe.
