Kathy Menary (NP)
I work as a Nurse Practitioner. NPs are Registered Nurses with advanced education and experience. NPs can deliver a large proportion of the services a person needs in terms of minor, acute illness and long-term conditions and includes things that traditionally have been performed by other health professionals, such as prescribing medicines and ordering diagnostic tests. I have been authorised to practise in an expanded nursing role by the Nursing Council of NZ such as prescribing medicines and ordering diagnostic tests. I practise both independently and in collaboration with my colleagues at Broadway Health to promote health and prevent disease, and to diagnose, assess and manage people’s health needs.
