HIP Lesley
Kia Ora, my name is Lesley. I grew up in Christchurch then travelled and lived in several other places before making my home in beautiful Te Tai Tokerau in 2015. I have years of experience helping people of all ages from all walks of life, and have special training in working with people who have suffered trauma. I joined Broadway Health Kaitaia as a Health Improvement Practitioner in 2022. My role as a HIP combines therapeutic, practical, and creative approaches to assist the patient's whole wellbeing. I particularly enjoy using my dance and movment therapy skills. It's rewarding to be able to offer flexible support tailored to each person/whanau.

Lou
Kia Ora, my name is Lou. I work for Te Mana Oranga Trust and have been for 7 years. Previous to this was a Mental Health Support Worker. I work out of Broadway Health to support our Community. These services include, connecting patients with community services, liaise between clinicians and patients, provide support, smoking cessation, eating habit and exercise, connecting with whanau, support with paperwork and any support in managing medical conditions.

Dan
Dan is a Diabetes Educator. He has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for 58 years . He supports patients and their whanau to get better control of their diabetes and provides health care and living advice. He sees patients in their home or at Broadway Health.

Simone Schut is a registered Hand Therapist / Occupational Therapist.
Hand therapy service accepts ACC registered claims with no surcharge for therapy sessions and additional splintage. Private service charge is $70 for first assessment and $50,- per 30 min follow-up session.

Mor
Taonga Oranga is delivering a nutrition support specialist, working with our community to educate our at-risk high need patients about nutrition to support our medical team; to have meaningful conversations about the importance of nutrition for the health, growth and development of their tamariki and their wider whanau.

OUTREACH VAN
We provide Outreach services to our patients. This includes transport from home to appointments at Broadway Health and appointments at the Kawakawa Hospital. Please call for any enquiries.
